Rosita J. Dozier
Rosita Dozier is a native of Little Rock Arkansas, currently living in Corona, California. She began writing in her pre-teens, poetry was her outlet. Her poems were about the environment she lived in and her desire to know what was beyond the sky and to know the meaning of life.
Rosita’s life changed August 7, 1981 when she gave her life to Christ. That event set her life on a path of studying and learning all that she could about God and his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. The first six years were set aside for intensive spiritual training (discipleship) under the teaching and pastoral ministry of Robert E. Smith, Sr., pastor of the Word of Outreach in Little Rock, Arkansas. The training included learning how to pray, how to study the scriptures, outreach, teaching, and full-time ministry. The overall focus of the training was to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil. Thus, living the overcoming life is more than a concept to Rosita; it is a way of life.
Rosita was ordained by Pastor J. Faraja Kafela, who was later ordained a Bishop. She served with him in ministry for five years at Imani Temple in Pomona, California. She also served for seven years under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles Lee-Johnson at Corona Community AME Church, and currently serves with him at The Life Church Riverside. Teaching women is her top priority, she conducts bible studies, and has been teaching about living the overcoming life for over 30 years.
Rosita has written articles for church newsletters, helped pastors put oral messages into print, edited and formatted several books, by a local pastor, for publishing. Her first published project “There is a Message to the Overcomer”, was published by Xulon Press. She is currently working on her fourth book and hopes to have it published by summer of 2021. She writes often and looks forward to writing many more books to the glory of God.
